Founded by Kyoshi Neil Dalgarno, 7th Dan, in 1990, Greater Toronto Jiu-Jitsu has become the leading centre for Japanese Jiu-Jitsu in the GTA. Neil, with degrees in Kinesiology and Education, has taught thousands of students over the past thirty years.
Neil holds many National Coaching Certifications and has coached athletes who have become National team members and Olympic medalists.

Shihan Tony Richardson, 6th Dan

Shihan Tony Richardson holds a 6th Dan in Japanese Jiu-Jitsu. He began his Jiu-Jitsu training in the early 1990’s, and also has experience in Muay Thai, MMA and BJJ. Renshi Tony has competed in Sport Jiu-Jitsu and amateur MMA.
Among his other passions, Renshi Tony trains and coaches amateur and professional MMA fighters.

Shihan O’Neil Anderson holds a 6th Dan in Japanese Jiu-Jitsu , and a Black Belt in BJJ.
He began his Jiu-Jitsu training in the early 1990’s and has also achieved considerable success in BJJ.
Among a long list of awards, Renshi O’Neil is a Ontario Open International Jiu-Jitsu & Ontario Provincial Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) Gold Medalist, and IBJJF World Masters Bronze Medalist

Sensei Kelvin Cheong, holds a 2nd Dan Black Belt in Japanese Jiu-Jitsu, awarded to him under Kyoshi Neil Dalgarno.
Having been educated in various martial arts around the world since October 1998, his expertise lies in Japanese Jiu-Jitsu, with a large extent of his training also in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Judo, and Choy Lay Fut Kung Fu.
Martial Arts is about problem solving, and he believes that there is no discipline more versatile than Jiu-Jitsu, which offers the greatest assortment of tools to be used at the right time.
Aside from continuously sharpening his tools throughout the week, Sensei Kelvin is also founder of RIZE MMA INC., a social enterprise determined to spread martial arts education and inspire athletes through high-quality merchandise; saving the world one gi at a time.
